Drawing machine operator – acs wire production

Experience: 05 - 10 years of experience in ACS (Steel & Aluminum) drawing machine operation. Education/Qualification: 12th, ITI, Diploma or equivalent The Bi-Metal Drawing Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining drawing machines used to process bi-metallic wires or rods, primarily combining steel and aluminium , in the cable or wire manufacturing industry. The operator ensures precision in wire dimensions, tensile strength, and surface finish while maintaining production efficiency and safety standards. Key Responsibilityo Set up and operate bi-metal drawing machines (Steel + Aluminum).o Adjust machine settings such as tension, speed, and temperature as required.o Feed metal rods or wires into machines for drawing and shaping.o Handle bi-metallic raw materials (steel core with aluminium cladding or vice versa).o Ensure proper alignment and bonding of the two metals during processing.o Monitor machine operations to detect any issues in bonding, diameter, or tension.o Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks on drawn wires.o Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning.o Report any mechanical issues to the maintenance department.o Ensure the final product meets dimensional, tensile, and conductivity specifications.o Record inspection results and machine data for quality control.o Follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).o Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.o Maintain production logs, machine setting records, and downtime reports.o Coordinate with shift supervisors and quality control teams.o Proficient in operating drawing machines (specifically bi-metal).o Understanding of metallurgy, particularly bonding of dissimilar metals.o Familiarity with wire gauge measurements and tensile testing.o Ability to troubleshoot minor machine faults.o Skilled in adjusting dies, rolls, and tension devices.o Precision in diameter control, concentricity, and surface finish.o Ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy materials.o Basic verbal and written communication skills.o Ability to read production orders and technical drawings.
