Production engineer

We are seeking an experienced Production/Process Engineer to support and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Ammonia Plant in Oman. The role requires a strong technical background in ammonia plant operations along with hands‑on exposure to pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Ammonia Plant to ensure safe, stable, and efficient production.

Coordinate with the Maintenance team for troubleshooting, shutdowns, and breakdown management.

Support the Head Production in operational planning and routine plant activities.

Ensure adherence to operational procedures, safety standards, and process compliance.

Monitor plant performance parameters and recommend operational improvements.

Participate in plant startup, shutdown, and process optimization activities.

Maintain operational records and prepare shift/production reports as required.

Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.

Candidate Profile

Strong understanding of ammonia plant processes and production operations.

Ability to handle operational challenges in a continuous process industry environment.

Good coordination, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Capable of working effectively in a multicultural industrial setup.

Experience Required

9-14 years of experience in Ammonia Plant Operations within Fertilizer, Petrochemical, or related process industries.

Hands‑on experience in Ammonia Plant pre‑commissioning and commissioning is mandatory.

Experience in large‑scale continuous process plants will be preferred.

Qualification

Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering.

Knowledge of process safety and operational excellence practices.

Familiarity with DCS/plant monitoring systems.

Strong communication and team coordination abilities.
