Position Summary:

Talent Arabia is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished Performance / Load Test Engineer with 5 to 8 years of professional non-functional testing experience to join our client engagement team on an onsite/offsite hybrid basis in Oman. In this specialized quality assurance and performance engineering role, you will spearhead designing, executing, and analyzing complex load, stress, endurance, and performance tests for enterprise web applications and APIs. You will work closely with software developers, enterprise architects, and Dev Ops squads to identify performance bottlenecks, optimize database queries, and ensure sub-second response times under heavy user loads. Ideal candidates bring a robust academic degree in computer science or information technology, deep practical mastery of JMeter, Load Runner, or Gatling, and immediate availability for deployment in Oman.

Detailed Job Description:

As a Performance / Load Test Engineer at Talent Arabia in Oman, you will take full ownership of non-functional test planning, workload modelling, user load simulation, and system resource analysis across enterprise software platforms. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass configuring and executing JMeter and Load Runner test scripts, validating API and web application performance, monitoring application health through Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Grafana, and Splunk, and conducting rigorous SQL and database performance validation. You will integrate performance testing into CI/CD agile pipelines, troubleshoot latency issues, and produce comprehensive throughput and resource utilization reports. Working in a fast-paced technology consulting environment, you will drive application scalability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and execute comprehensive performance, load, stress, and endurance test scenarios for enterprise applications.

Develop robust test scripts utilizing JMeter, Load Runner, Neo Load, or Gatling for complex web applications and REST APIs.

Perform accurate workload modelling, user load simulation, and peak traffic volume forecasting.

Analyze server response times, throughput rates, CPU/memory utilization, and infrastructure resource metrics.

Identify, isolate, and document deep-seated performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and concurrency issues.

Validate database performance through SQL query analysis, execution plan reviews, and backend resource monitoring.

Configure and monitor application health telemetry using enterprise tools such as Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Grafana, and Splunk.

Integrate automated performance testing suites seamlessly into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Collaborate proactively with software engineering squads, Dev Ops engineers, and product owners during agile sprint cycles.

Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, performance baseline reports, test summaries, and bottleneck remediation logs.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Minimum 5 to 8 years of professional working experience in software quality assurance focusing on non-functional testing and performance engineering.

Deep practical proficiency in industry-standard load testing tools such as JMeter, Load Runner, Neo Load, or Gatling.

Strong hands-on experience testing API endpoints, microservices, and distributed web applications.

Solid expertise in workload modelling, concurrency simulation, response time analysis, and throughput optimization.

Demonstrated ability to analyze database performance, write efficient SQL queries, and diagnose backend bottlenecks.

Hands-on familiarity with application performance monitoring (APM) and log analysis platforms (Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Grafana, Splunk).

Professional certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester - Performance Testing or cloud platform credentials (AWS, Azure).

Prior working experience in banking, e-commerce, telecommunications, or enterprise IT consultancy firms across the Middle East.

Advanced understanding of Kubernetes containerization, Docker, and cloud-native application scalability.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic.
