Electrical engineer

Responsibilities Supervise the installation, testing and commissioning of LV and ELV electrical systems for commercial building projects. Review electrical shop drawings, method statements, technical submittals and material approvals before execution. Coordinate electrical works with MEP disciplines to ensure smooth project execution and resolve site clashes. Monitor subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and construction schedules. Conduct site inspections and ensure all electrical installations comply with approved drawings, IEC standards and local authority requirements. Prepare RFIs, inspection requests, technical documentation and project progress reports. Coordinate with consultants, clients and authorities to obtain approvals and resolve technical issues. Oversee the installation of transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, lighting, power distribution and ELV systems. Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, HSE requirements and project specifications throughout construction activities. Support project planning, progress monitoring and successful project handover within budget and schedule. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering within the commercial construction industry, including GCC experience. Strong experience in LV and ELV systems, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, CCTV, BMS, Access Control, and Fire Alarm systems. Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit MEP, and electrical design principles such as load calculations and cable sizing. Thorough knowledge of IEC, NFPA, Gulf standards, and local authority approval requirements. Excellent coordination, communication, and project management skills with experience in commercial and hospitality projects.
