Job Description

A mason is responsible for constructing, repairing and maintaining buildings and other structures made of brick, stone or other materials. They use a variety of tools and techniques to lay and bind building materials such as concrete blocks and bricks. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in masonry work and be physically fit to handle the demands of the job. They must also have excellent hand-eye coordination, be able to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately. This job requires someone who can work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities Measure, cut shape and lay bricks or other types of building blocks Mix mortar or grout according to specifications Use various tools such as trowels, levels and plumb bobs to ensure accuracy Follow blueprints or plans to determine the layout of walls or other structures Repair existing structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones Install insulation materials like foam or fiberglass in walls or ceilings Ensure safety standards are met at all times on the job site Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in masonry work Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately Knowledge of different types of building materials and their properties Familiarity with safety procedures on construction sites Able to work independently as well as part of a team Must have own visa for employment in Khasab
