Mason

We are in need of an experienced Mason to join our team in Nizwa. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in masonry, with a focus on brick and stone work. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures such as walls, floors, and other various surfaces using materials such as bricks, stones, and concrete blocks.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and materials required for construction

Measure and mark out designated areas for construction

Build walls, floors, and other surfaces by laying bricks or stones according to the design plan

Cut or shape bricks using tools such as hammers or saws

Mix mortar or grout according to standard formulas

Apply mortar or other adhesives to surfaces before placing bricks or stones

Clean excess mortar from the surface after the completion of work

Repair or replace damaged bricks or stones as needed

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in masonry with a focus on brick and stone work

Ability to read blueprints and drawings accurately

Knowledge of different types of bricks, stones, and concrete blocks

Familiarity with various masonry tools and equipment

Strong attention to detail

Physical strength and stamina

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Good communication skills

Valid visa (if applicable)

Salary

The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.

Location

This is a contract job based in Nizwa. Preference will be given to candidates who already have their own visa for working in Oman.
